Cookie Policy

Last Updated: July 18, 2026

The short version

We use almost no cookies. Our public website has no advertising cookies, no cross-site trackers, no social media pixels, and no session-recording tools. Our analytics provider (Plausible) is cookieless. The only cookies you may encounter come from signing in to the platform and from our payment processor's fraud-prevention system.

Because we don't use cookies that require consent, we don't show a cookie banner.

What we actually use

Essential — signing in

When you sign in to the Elective Labs platform, your browser stores authentication state (via browser storage and, where applicable, session cookies) so you stay signed in as you navigate. These are strictly necessary; blocking them will prevent sign-in from working.

Essential — payments (Stripe)

Our payment processor, Stripe, sets a small number of cookies (such as __stripe_mid and __stripe_sid) on pages where payment elements load. Stripe uses them for fraud prevention and secure payment processing — not for advertising. See Stripe's cookie policy for details.

Analytics — Plausible (cookieless)

We measure site traffic with Plausible Analytics, a privacy-focused tool that uses no cookies and no persistent identifiers, and does not track you across other websites. Aggregate page counts only — nothing tied to you as an individual. See Plausible's data policy.

What we do NOT use

No Google Analytics. No advertising or retargeting cookies. No Facebook/Meta pixel. No session-replay or screen-recording tools. No selling or sharing of browsing data. If this ever changes, we will update this policy first and add any legally required consent mechanism before the change goes live.

Managing cookies

You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time. Because the only cookies we rely on are essential ones, blocking them may break signing in or paying — everything else on our site works fine without cookies.
